During the month of February, EGS celebrated reading with a reading challenge called "Sweet Reads".  This consisted of a three week calendar of daily reading activities that the child could complete at home.  Children were challenged to read at least two activities per week.  If students read ALL the activities they became part of the 100% Participation Club.  Students also could recommend their favorite book on the "Sweet Reads" book form. There were many other aspects of the "Sweet Reads" program that happened all month long.  On Wednesday, March 3rd the "Sweet Reads" school wide celebration occurred in the auditorium.   It consisted of Mrs. Brown with her "things" reading to the entire school and every student receiving a Dr. Seuss pencil.  Thanks to all who helped organize this wonderful event!!
